About ATLAS

Built around one non-negotiable decision: client data should stay under client control.

ATLAS exists to give mid-market organizations meaningful visibility into their digital infrastructure without asking them to hand over the very data they are trying to protect.

The founding principle

An audit should not require the auditee to trust the auditor with its data.

The ATLAS platform runs inside the customer’s environment or selected cloud perimeter, analyzes data through the agreed deployment method, and is designed to remove the temporary processing workspace after delivery.

The result is a more defensible starting point for organizations that need visibility but cannot casually move financial, employee, network, or intellectual-property data into a boutique operator’s cloud.

Founder context

Experience that informs the work—without overstating credentials.

Steve Didero founded ATLAS after seeing how much operational risk mid-market organizations carry without realizing it. He is a U.S. Marine veteran, holds an active Secret clearance, and has a background connected to defense logistics and enterprise technology. He is currently pursuing the CISA credential.

Background and clearance are context for trust and subject-matter fluency. They are not a substitute for an accredited certification, audit credential, or government endorsement.

What we say plainly

Trust is built by defining the boundary.

ATLAS is not a CMMC certification body.

The CMMC 2.0 Readiness Audit is readiness and gap-remediation consulting only. Official certification requires an accredited C3PAO.

Readiness, Not Certification — official CMMC certification requires an accredited C3PAO.

Healthcare work is gated.

PHI-bearing engagements depend on a completed BAA workflow, appropriate insurance, and either a completed audit credential or a credentialed partner. We will not present that work as fully mature before those controls are ready.

No government affiliation is implied.

ATLAS is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with the U.S. Department of War (formerly the Department of Defense) or any of its components.
